Accept your ipod apart and change out the lipo battery. Or return and go warranty work washed if you have some course of warranty.

you might have drained your ipod's battery. you should charge it when information technology gets to cherry and so you won't have problems like this. try charging information technology using a wall charger, not with the usb.

this happened to me a while back but subsequently charging information technology with a wall charger my ipod'south now in good working social club once more. i never permit the battery drain ever since. lesson learned.

  9. [b i just dropper my 60bg ipod video. i started charging it via usb. it had that screen saying ----please await battery very low------, i then inverse the charge to firewire, it came up with the black apple load screen and kept on restarting. i take now put it dorsum to usb and it says----please await battery very low------ it dont know what help is going to be to you, just in that location u go.[/b]

No, you don't demand a new bombardment all the same. Sometimes the ipod gets stuck in the power saving mode, with this message displayed, and never changes. Yous can unplug the ipod, hold 'Carte du jour and select' until the apple logo shows. Then turn the ipod off by holding play, then plug the ipod back into your computer.

    - Or -

Go along in mind that your USB port does non give out power in sleep way. Y'all can't charge the ipod while your computer is sleeping, infact, doing this will bleed the battery faster. So don't leave your computer, and don't fall asleap yourself.

    - Then -

    Become a new battery.

Mine savage in the sink, took it apart and took a blow dryer to information technology. Worked but said low battery so i put it the wall charger and said charging. Thought everything was fine only information technology never says charged, fifty-fifty bought a new bombardment and that never says charged and the bombardment level doesnt increase even though information technology says its charging. Anything i tin check on the inside or should i buy another 30gb video?

My teacher put his in the washing machine, and let it sit and dry for a calendar month. Information technology worked. Although, he had a nano, which uses flasn memory. The video uses a hard drive. I don't know if a hard drive can exist damaged by water, but information technology seems probable.

Hmm, great my new (second hand) ipod video has just started doing this!!

But I think information technology's a consequence of a power surge from a USB hub - because my mouse died too at the same time...at present the wall charger won't work.

Some of the warranty is nevertheless valid, then is the all-time bet to but transport it in?

If you are right almost your USB hub ability surge, which sounds unlikely, and it was enough to intermission your mouse, y'all have probably broken your iPod by sending too much power through the circuitry. Many of the integrated circuits take been blown... Sad I build electronic devices and am using language that you lot probably don't understand, so all I volition say is, accept your iPod to a shop, send it to apple, or buy a new one.
